  • Our most recent one-off beer to be released, Wild Wheat / Solar Sour Barrel Aged Blend, proved popular at the launch last Friday with one drinker describing it as “the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer’s day”.

If you missed out on this refreshing blend we do still have a couple of kegs which we’ll be delivering to specialist beer events this autumn. Keep your eye on beer list announcements over the coming weeks for details.

The next new rare beer launch is this coming Saturday, the 19th at 12pm.

  • The third in our series of rare one-off keg beers to be released is a barrel aged blend of Solar Sour and our popular Bretted wheat beer Wild Wheat.

The blend has been further matured in ex-bourbon barrels, the result - a farmhouse style ale at 4% abv.

Rather refreshing to drink with a subtle tartness and aromas of lemon & pineapple, all married together nicely with a touch of oak from the barrels.

It’ll be pouring from 6pm at The Beer Hall on Friday 4th September, for as long as it lasts, served in half and third pint measures only.

    Chuckleberry Sour

The latest in our series of one-off beers, Chuckleberry Sour, launched last week has received phenomenal feedback. As well as pouring at The Beer Hall two kegs were delivered to Leeds International Beer Festival where it was the first of our beers on offer to sell out.

It‘s been described as “lip-smackingly awesome” and one drinker commented “the Chuckleberry Sour was as good a sour as I've had!”.

If you missed out and want to try it we do have a couple of kegs which we’ll be delivering to specialist beer events this autumn. Keep your eye on beer list announcements over the coming weeks.

The next new rare beer launch is at 6pm on Friday 11th September.

    New Beer: Chuckleberry Sour

The latest in our series of rare one-off keg beers to be released is Chuckleberry Sour.

A 3.3% Berliner Weisse-style beer aged with whole fresh chuckleberries.

And yes, there is such a thing as a Chuckleberry!

Chuckleberries are a cross between a redcurrant, a gooseberry, and a Jostaberry (itself a cross between a blackcurrant and a gooseberry). They have a sweet, juicy, distinct flavour - characteristics that make great jam and to our knowledge no one has ever made a beer using this fruit before.

Chuckleberry Sour will be pouring from 6pm at The Beer Hall on Friday 4th September, for as long as it lasts, served in half and third pint measures only.

    New Collab Alert

Welsh brewers Tiny Rebel will be joining us on Thursday 10th September to brew a collaborative beer.

Relative new comers to the brewing scene, Tiny Rebel have gone from strength to strength since they started brewing in 2012 and we’re excited to have Gareth (one half of the brother-in-law duo behind Tiny Rebel) brewing with us.

Head Brewers Matt (Hawkshead) and Gareth (Tiny Rebel) have put their heads together about what they’re going to brew and it’s safe to say you can expect hops!
