The next brew in our cask session series.

This is Head Brewer Matt Clarke's take on the style XPA/extra pale ale which refers to the use of low colour malts creating a really clean pale base beer, the perfect platform to showcase the hops. A small amount of malted oats lend a nice mouthfeel and more palate fullness to the beer.

It's hopped with a combination of Citra and Jester. Jester is the UK variety that exhibits big fruit flavours akin to the Americans and has come from the Charles Faram hop breeding programme.

Malts: Low colour Maris Otter and malted oats
Hops : Jester (UK) Citra (USA)
Aroma: Tropical fruits
Flavour: Citrus and slight herbal notes from the Jester

XPA is available in cask and is out for delivery to pubs and bars across the country from Monday 20th March onwards. It will feature on the bar at Northern Craft Beer Fest this weekend.
