29th March to 5th April 2010 is National Cask Ale Week.

Help us celebrate Britain’s National Drink during this year’s National Cask Ale Week.

From March 29th – 5th April the nation’s pubs will raise a glass to real ale to toast everything brilliant about beer.

Cask ale out performs almost every other drink on the bar :

*On trade figures show cask ale has a better year on year volume performance than standard lager, premium lager, even wine and spirits.

Growth in number of people drinking cask ale :

*Doubling in the number of female drinkers year on year.

*400,000 new cask ale drinkers in last 12 months - now 8.5 million drinkers

*31% of beer drinkers are now cask ale drinkers.

Cask ale - Britains National Drink :

*Record membership of CAMRA - now over 100,000

*Record attendance at beer festivals - 64,000 at the Great British Beer Festival in August 2009

*Increased positive media attention - two major TV series focusing largely on cask ale in 2008/2009

*More new brewery openings - now more UK breweries than at any time since the 1940's

The Beer Hall is the brewery tap and a showcase for real ale. It has a Cask Marque award for serving "the perfect pint" and is in The Good Beer Guide.
Open 7 days a week and in the evenings is for hire as a party venue. There is also a conference room, which seats 20.
