An award winning Scottish songwriter 'with a talent for spinning yarns...’ (LIST) Sharon King continues to build a reputation for vibrant, funny, relaxed and intimate live shows. March 2012 saw her supporting music industry songwriting icons Gallagher and Lyle to a packed house at the Queens Hall in Edinburgh. Touring in 2012 / 13 with her trio The Reckless Angels: Scottish fiddler Amy Geddes (fiddle, viola, vocals) and Vera van Heeringen (guitar, mandolin, vocals) King is a natural raconteur with an easy grace. Her astute observations on Scottish life are carried in contemporary songwriting, delivered wrapped in easy banter and peppered with tales of her travels:colours and textures are woven through the narratives by the mandolin, fiddle, viola and voices of The Reckless Angels.
