    Head Brewer Heads to Norway

We’re one of five UK breweries to be featured at Norwegian beer festival ‘What’s Brewing’. The festival is being hosted by our friends at Lervig Aktiebryggeri at Tou Scene, an ex-brewery, in the south-west coastal town of Stavanger.

Better known as the ‘oil capital of Norway’ Stavanger is aiming to create a world class beer festival and by the looks of the beer list they’ve succeeded. 28 breweries representing 9 countries are showcasing 218 different beers over the two day event. Earlier this month we shipped kegs of Wild Wheat, Green Juniper & Hemp Double IPA (collab with Lervig), Damson Stout, IPA, Oat Wine (collab with Wild Beer Co.), Iti, Sundown and Brodie’s Prime Export. Also from the UK will be beers from Beavertown, Buxton, Magic Rock and Siren.

Norwegian alcohol laws actually forbid anyone involved in the organisation of the festival from ‘advertising’ the attending breweries but fans and bloggers are not restricted by the same rules, you can view a list of breweries and beers on Norwegian blog 'Die By The Beer'. The list includes the likes of Nøgne, Mikkeller, Birra Del Borgo and Brouwerji De Molen.

The festival runs from Friday 31st October to Saturday 1st November, both Head Brewer Matt and Ben from Sales will be in attendance over the weekend.
